Troubleshooting Common Comtekk Dispatcher Issues (Step-by-Step)
Overview
This guide lists the most frequent Comtekk Dispatcher problems and gives clear, ordered fixes so you can restore service quickly.
1. No connection between Dispatcher and radios
- Check network physical layer
- Ensure Ethernet cables and switches are powered and link lights active.
- Verify IP settings
- Confirm Dispatcher and radio interface are on the same subnet; fix IP, subnet mask, gateway as needed.
- Ping test
- From the Dispatcher machine, ping the radio gateway and any intermediate routers. Note packet loss.
- Firewall & antivirus
- Temporarily disable local firewall/antivirus or add rules allowing Dispatcher ports (TCP/UDP per your Comtekk config).
- Restart services
- Restart Dispatcher software and the radio interface device; if RoIP gateway, power-cycle it.
- Logs
- Open Dispatcher logs (Help → Logs or install path) and search for connection errors; follow the error hint.
2. Audio dropouts or poor audio quality
